Alcester is a small attractive town at the heart of one of the most popular tourist areas yet it escapes the noise and congestion of better known towns. Stratford-upon-Avon is only a short drive away as are Ragley Hall Coughton Court and other notable country houses. Further afield Warwick Castle the Cotswolds the NEC and Birmingham and Coventry airports can be reached within little more than half an hour by road. Dorset House is in the centre of Alcester's historic Conservation Area facing the town hall and parish church. The house and cottage are fully equipped and furnished with antiques. There is private parking for up to eight cars. A good range of local shops pubs restaurants and many other amenities are in easy walking distance. To the rear secluded courtyards and a long walled garden lead down to the River Arrow and open countryside beyond. Alcester Libbrary has tourist information which includes timetables for bus routes to Stratford Warwick Parkway Birmingham Eversham and Redditch where there are onward rail services.
