Hotel Description
The new management is proud to have taken over The Blue Boar Inn at the end of last year. Together with the staff they are striving to maintain and improve the fantastic reputation that this wonderful Traditional Old English Country Pub has built up over the years. Working close with The Head Chef Jason Brew the team are continuing to serve up great quality food both A la Carte in the restaurant and good old pub grub in the bar areas. You can enjoy a refreshing pint of hand pulled real ale of which we have Banks Original Pedigree and our Guest Ales . We can't think of an area of the Blue Boar that hasn't got a great reputation - food accommodation and bar are always complimented by our customers. Recommendation is our biggest marketing tool - we are constantly taking calls from people who have been recommended to visit! You can't get better advertising than that. Meet the team who ensure those comments keep coming in. Cooler Autumn days bring life to our four open fires in the bar and restaurant areas whereas the sunshine of spring offers the opportunity to relax outside in our patio garden and enjoy the extensive views towards the Cotswold Hills. The Blue Boar Inn represents the best of an Old English Country Pub - where traditional values and atmosphere still survive. The oldest part of The Blue Boar dates from the early 1600's and records show that it has been an ale house since that time. The glass covered well in the restaurant bar is some 35 feet deep and its pure water has been used in the brewing process in the past. It's now the home of a family of koi carpe since that time. The Blue Boar is located in the village of Temple Grafton - ideally placed to enjoy all that the Stratford-upon-Avon Warwick and the North Cotswolds have to offer. William Shakespeare was married in Temple Grafton church in the year 1582 to one Ann Whateley. The name is thought to be a misspelling of Hathaway.
